The idiots that panic at the sight of a gun call the police (people they often call deranged killers) who bring more guns to the scene.
Pikeman - November 4, 2015, 7:33 pm
People carrying guns concealed and/or openly don't stop mass murders because they stop the murderer before he has achieved the necessary body count to be called a mass murderer.
realitycheck - October 27, 2015, 5:37 pm
comic is a lie from beginning to end. Everywhere the 2nd amendment is enforced, ALL crime has gone down-- and every last crazy killer was stopped by someone else with a gun. Often, a citizen.

Tomorrow is a different question. 0peration Fast and Furious was to justify limiting Americans access to guns by making a larger percentage of the guns confiscated in Mexico traceable to the USofA. lt was caught by people that love truth > hate gun. LUCKY

Revenge against past offenses, real or imagined.
Renza - April 2, 2013, 4:15 pm
my guess is either religious or crazy... guess that's a bit redundant of an answer though.
crankyhead - April 2, 2013, 3:11 pm
IPA, what if the 'terrorist' in question, in his own heart, isn't fighting for freedom? Then what is he?
ipaprime - April 2, 2013, 9:04 am
one persons terrorist is anothers freedom fighter. it would be for history to decide
Renza - April 2, 2013, 8:34 am
So, you think they'd just be well organized terrorists and guerrilla forces?
ipaprime - April 2, 2013, 8:17 am
no I am saying they would be an irregular force which history has shown regular military has problems dealing with
ipaprime - April 2, 2013, 8:15 am
there are people out there who have most likely planned out how to neutralize tanks efficiently with avalible resouces
Renza - April 1, 2013, 11:15 am
So you're basically saying that if there was a civil war, the rebels would ultimately be reduced down to little more than terrorists and guerrilla militias?
PapaFox - April 1, 2013, 10:56 am
Again, the basic premise being that the dweeb who thinks he's going to take on the government just because he owns an a**ault rifle and some Walmart cammo is living in a fantasy world.
ipaprime - April 1, 2013, 10:13 am
if you want to see a good depiction of how a tank fares against an irregular force try and find a movie called "The BEAST" it is set in afganastan during its Russian occupation
ipaprime - April 1, 2013, 10:08 am
or look at how the germans fared in occupided Europe during WW2
ipaprime - April 1, 2013, 10:06 am
talk to the soilders in Iraq and afghanastan about how useful tanks are fighting an irregular force, or for that matter look at the Vietnam conflict
Renza - April 1, 2013, 9:55 am
the historical a***ysis of a hypothetical future unclarified/unspecified event that would involve technology that did not previously exist? I don't think that has any effect on relatively small bullets vs heavy armor plating.
ipaprime - April 1, 2013, 9:31 am
but the historical anaylisis does invalidate the premise behind the poster
Renza - April 1, 2013, 8:37 am
the hypothetical scenario of the rebel forces being crushed in no way impacts the premise of the poster.
ipaprime - April 1, 2013, 8:02 am
as I acknowledged in #50867
crankyhead - March 31, 2013, 1:57 pm
If this is too much work for you, you can always take your ball and go home. Again.
crankyhead - March 31, 2013, 1:57 pm
So if I was you, and thank fk I'm not, I would take care at which accusations I'm capable of dealing out to others, and which accusations are better suited for examining the falsehoods inherent in your own beliefs, or lack thereof.
crankyhead - March 31, 2013, 1:54 pm
The only miracle IPA, is your ability to still not believe in fossils, when literally millions of them exist, and are available to see and study, around the world.
Renza - March 31, 2013, 1:52 pm
the premise that an a**ault rifle is an inadequate weapon to use against a tank?
crankyhead - March 31, 2013, 1:49 pm
The crybaby who believes in an invisible man in the sky that watches him masturbate, is questioning my ability to reason, is he?
Renza - March 31, 2013, 9:17 am
I did, a**ault rifles are still useless against tanks and APCs, and the way you're suggesting they would still be viable by the rebellion in a civil war is through guerilla tactics after the main force is basically crushed.
PapaFox - March 31, 2013, 4:14 am
The basic premise being that the dweeb who thinks he's going to take on the government just because he owns an a**ault rifle and some Walmart cammo is living in a fantasy world.
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 11:43 pm
it is a miracle cranky can think, oh but he is still unable to reason
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 11:41 pm
please refer to your comment above for proper context
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 11:40 pm
I simply point out that this poster is a fail on the basic premies on which it is based
Renza - March 30, 2013, 4:47 pm
so basically your entire explanation and a**umptions are based on the idea that the rebels would fall apart after being walked on by the government's military force, and would then act as small groups of terrorists just trying to randomly kill soldiers?
PapaFox - March 30, 2013, 4:04 pm
"Hostile territory?" Only Jane Fonda's house. :-D
crankyhead - March 30, 2013, 3:17 pm
IPA, are you suggesting that the JCOS consider the US to be "hostile territory"? Yeah, that's what I thought. Another illogical premise to support this rightwing nutjob fantasy.
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:58 am
see explaination I just gave renza.
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:57 am
so in conclusion while an ar-15 vs a tank is not good for the ar-15, in the control phase tanks would not be the target it would be the troops just like it is happening overseas right now
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:54 am
also in the event of an insurrection in the states the gov would be in favor of limiting damage to the infrastructer as much as possible, so as to be able to move troops and supplies easily
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:52 am
phase 2 is control in which the territory is brought under control. now if tanks and planes alone were sufficient we would be in way better shape in Iraq and Afghanistan. but alas they are not you need boots on the ground to do so
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:49 am
phase 1 conquest. the taking of key targets with in said territory. prime examples, the German blitzkrieg in WW2, and Desert Storm 1
ipaprime - March 30, 2013, 7:47 am
any military op in "hostile" territory is broken in to 2 phases
PapaFox - March 29, 2013, 12:16 pm
Overseas conflicts are irrelevant in this context. And BTW you're talking to a veteran. Talk about fail...
Renza - March 29, 2013, 11:59 am
So, are you suggesting that if civil war broke out, the government wouldn't use tanks, or that the a**ault rifle would somehow be effective against said tank? or APC equivalent.
ipaprime - March 29, 2013, 10:31 am
this is a big FAIL due to your lack of understanding ofmilitay operations in "hostile" territory. please referance iraq and afghanastan to understand your mistake.

Somehow I bet the guy willfully blocking the citizen's constitutional right to purchase a gun, is normally quite vocal against limiting people's constitutional rights towards purchasing guns.

Sounds like projection, fox
crankyhead - January 25, 2013, 4:48 pm
Mmmmhmmm. You prove my point for me. Interesting change of tactic, I wonder why you did that? Probably too obtuse to know what you did.
foxrecon19d - January 25, 2013, 3:14 pm
Wow... another pathetic attempt by crankyhead to get some sort of attention and relevence in his lonely, lonely life. Don't think people haven't noticed how you always beg and plead to continue a "conversation" with you.
crankyhead - January 24, 2013, 4:30 pm
Or perhaps we could all move to Louisiana and be taught that the Loch Ness monster is real, and because it is real, that evolution is a lie. Would that suit your 'anti liberal indoctrination' agenda?
crankyhead - January 24, 2013, 4:23 pm
I mean, we could all move to Texas and learn how Jesus rode a Dinosaur, and that fossils are just 'tests of faith', and that thinking critically is a no-no. I bet that would make you happy, wouldn't it?
crankyhead - January 24, 2013, 4:21 pm
Well fox, reality does have a liberal bias, and education, for the most part, is a study of reality.
foxrecon19d - January 24, 2013, 9:34 am
Because what Sandy Hook needed wasn't professional armed security. NOPE! A few more of the governments "NO GUNS ALLOWED" signs would have averted the tragedy. SCHOOLS- Are supposed to be about education NOT leftist indoctrination

Yes fox, and that's why the GOP is, as Bobby Jindal said, the 'stupid party'. Because not a single one of those 'patriotic gun owners ready to defend themselves against the government' ever voted for a guy who wanted to cut defense spending.
foxrecon19d - January 25, 2013, 2:48 pm
Yeah...that IS a fantasy. There are MILLIONS and MILLIONS of patriotic American gun owners ready to defend themselves against a full-scale government takeover

How can you possibly infer that i've dodged ANY point? I'm the only one here providing accurate, detailed data to counter the vague and misleading claims YOU were making. I named and quoted the bills in question, I provided the numbers...
PapaFox - January 23, 2013, 11:03 am
So basically your argument is to dodge every point. Fair enough. The fact remains that the current party has slid WAY to the right of where it once was, which has cost it dearly in terms of moderate voters.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 9:10 am
Immigration - he granted one time amnesty conditional on the guarantee that we would secure our borders and put in an effective employee verification program, all under the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill. I covered this
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 9:04 am
Gun control, supported Brady act - not as a candidate, and not as a President. Only after he was out of office. Your base argument, that we would not elect him as a candidate, remains false.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 9:02 am
Ha. The "Reagan raised taxes' slight of hand. Reagan lowered INCOME taxes by huge amounts. 70% down to 28%. The tax raises you refer to are cigarette taxes, a temporary gas tax, etc. Did you know this, or are you just leaning on MSNBC talking points?
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:58 am
Reagan abortion bill - you mean in May 1967, the Thera**utic Abortion Bill? It was a measure to allow pregnant women to terminate embryos prejudicial to their “physical or mental health.” Not the same s the current abortion on demand society we have now
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:57 am
Republicans would oppose the Briggs initiative now. This is not a valid point, it's a needless tangent.
PapaFox - January 23, 2013, 8:51 am
Gun Control - Supported the Brady Act and the a**ault Weapons Ban. With a record like that, a Republican politician today wouldn't stand a chance within his own party.
PapaFox - January 23, 2013, 8:50 am
Economics - Indeed, many of his economic policies were sensible and responsible, including raising taxes a number of times as president. Immigration - Granted amnesty to millions of previously illegal immigrants.
PapaFox - January 23, 2013, 8:49 am
g** rights - Opposed the anti-g** Briggs Initiative, and spoke out against anti-g** attitudes. Abortion - Signed an abortion rights bill while governor of California.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:38 am
Based on what i've presented here, I believe your stance that Reagan wouldn't stand a chance at being nominated is completely wrong. I welcome any defense you can offer for your claims.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:36 am
Gun control - Passed The Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986. As a candidate and as a president, Reagan was entirely pro gun.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:32 am
That immigration policy was under the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill that Reagan signed.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:30 am
Immigration - The government would make a concerted effort to control the borders. d An effective employer verification program would ensure that only legal workers were hired.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:30 am
Taxes - Republicans would love Reagans economic policies to be reinstituted.
falconfan00 - January 23, 2013, 8:26 am
Reagan was not for g** marriage. Reagan was not for open g**s in the military. Whatever reference you're making there is wrong. Abortion- google images of partial birth abortions, if your man enough, then come back and defend it.
PapaFox - January 23, 2013, 5:13 am
Interesting that in today's Republican party, someone with Reagan's views on gun control, g**s, abortion, taxes, and immigration wouldn't stand a chance of being nominated. See 28088
falconfan00 - January 22, 2013, 9:57 pm
Newsflash: Reagan isn't God. he was a man, and although we agree with many of his policies, we aren't OBLIGATED to agree with EVERYTHING he's ever said or done. You Obamabots oughta try it sometime. It's liberating.

Irrelevant. The battlefield technology of the day in 1776 wouldn't allow a lunatic to shoot dozens of innocent people in under a minute.

In 1776 the average citizen had full access to the battlefield technology of the day. To follow your logic, people on the radio and television do not have 1st Amendment rights since the technology didn't exist in 1776. Gonna start calling me names now?

Though I should add I have no absolutely problem with more thorough background checks when buying a gun, or stiffer penalties for those that try to circumvent them. None at all. I just think banning a sh**gun because it has a pistol grip is pointless.
Cyberhagen - January 19, 2013, 6:53 pm
No one has ever claimed it would utterly prevent gun attacks, because rational people realize that's impossible -even by banning guns. What it does do is shorten those attack's duration and thereby minimize the damage done by a psych**ic.
